About Us

Rooted in Edina.
Ready for anything.

Knox County Ambulance District has been Edina's emergency medical service since our founding. Based at 708 E Monticello St, we respond to medical emergencies, trauma calls, and transport requests across Knox County and the surrounding communities.

Our team of licensed EMTs and paramedics trains continuously — because the difference between a good outcome and a great one often comes down to what happens in those first critical minutes.

We are a publicly funded district, accountable to the residents we serve. Every call is an opportunity to live up to the trust Edina places in us.

Safe ground ambulance transport to hospitals and medical facilities, with continuous monitoring throughout the journey.

Community First Response

Rapid initial response to stabilize patients before full ambulance arrival, reducing critical care delays in our community.

911 Dispatch Coordination

Why Response Time Matters

Every second
counts

In a medical emergency, the window between onset and treatment defines outcomes. Cardiac arrest survival drops 7–10% with each minute without intervention. Stroke treatment windows are measured in hours.

That is why Knox County Ambulance District maintains constant readiness — units staged strategically, crews cross-trained, and protocols refined through continuous education. When Edina calls, we are already moving.
